Founders Day Award Recipient - David May
On April 10, 2026 the University of Findlay announced its Founders Day Awards - one of the highest honors for a graduating senior. This years awards were presented to Sarah Reinhart, Nathan Zuercher, and our own David May.

David May, is from Ohio City, Ohio, he is graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work, through his example he exemplifies the Theta Chi beliefs, including serving his god and fellow man. He is a truly caring person and is pursing a career in social work and support to others.
He serves on the President’s Student Council, has served as the President of Theta Chi fraternity, as a mentor, and has participated in several mission / services in Cuba, Ecuador, and Guatemala, and contributed more than 400 hours of volunteer service.
David was one of the first to join, support, and lead the rebirth of the Theta Chi fraternity. He was instrumental in ensuring that the brotherhood, in coordination with campus administrators and our Theta Chi alumni saw success. His leadership and dedication to Theta Chi and the University is truly exemplary.
We wish David all the best as he graduates on May 2, 2026 and pursues his new career - soon to be announced.
The three Founders’ Award winners were announced at the April 10 Symposium for Scholarship and Creativity awards ceremony. They each received a certificate and monetary award.
