Who We Are…. & Where We Are Going….

The Theta Chi - Eta Mu Chapter - Alumni Association / Corporation and its Helping Hand Foundation has developed a strategic plan driving the following strategic thrusts. These strategies are described below and each has a set of goals for the current University academic year. The long term goals for these strategies are also described as the 10 year vision horizon.

It is these five planning strategies, short term goals, and long term goals that make up our organizations purpose. The overarching purpose statement is to “enable involved students and alumni to live deep and meaningful lives”.

The following are the board approved strategies and the plan goals:

    • Gift Education/Planning

    • 2 Academic Scholarships

    • Collegiate Member Scholarships (50% of Fees)

    • 2 Leadership Training Events

    • 2 Speakers Bureau Events

  • Raising funds in support of our purpose is our focus. We require financial stewardship processes including budget planning and transparency in financial reporting on all financial matters.

    2025-2026

    Ensure financial stability through budget planning/mgmt and monthly finance reporting.

    Engage in fundraising.

    • Increase alumni fundraising participation to 100 by 4Q2025 and 150 by 2Q2026.

    • Implement OneCause fundraising platform.

    • Develop plan for all initiatives to be funded from  endowed fund earnings.

    10 Year Vision Horizon

    • Funding all initiatives from endowed fund earnings.

    • Fundraising participation at 75% of total membership.

  • Support our alma mater through alignment of purpose, organization, and planning. Ever understanding the needs of the modern day student and our University.

    2025-2026

    Coordinate the following:

    • Connect w/ University Administration

    • Coordinate an all greek alumni social with 20 members attending. To include - greek system plan review,  discuss next steps, and plan fundraising.

    • Provide University cabinet and board our annual report.

    • Chapter Advisory Board - health/safety, mentoring on goal planning, career networking, and goal planning

    • Execution of key Greek system plan initiatives.

    • Realize alma mater academic and experience excellence.

  • To ensure alignment, mutual support, and a complete understanding of our organization - we are engaging our members and our alma mater with consistent and timely information.

    2025-2026

    Provide key stakeholders with relevant and timely information and updates utilizing a ALL media channel strategy - including:

    • Website/social media

    • Enhancing member information in customer relationship management (CRM) system.

    • Recover lost brothers percentage by 10%.

    • Reach 100% of key audiences in knowing who we are….where we are going.

    • 100% member info database.

  • We consider coordinated events to be a key way to connect and celebrate our organization while advancing our purpose.

    Coordinate the following:

    Major Event Planning

    • Homecoming Event

    • Spring Formal Event

    • Develop event planning guide to ensure year to year consistency and leadership transition.

    Regional Event Planning

    • Support a minimum of 4 US regional events.

Every great organization, that is long standing, is steeped in a consistent evergreen planning process. This starts with an aligned planning calendar - the following is our planning cadence. Our elected leaders, appointed committee chairpersons, and project leads, with input from brothers giving of their time provide the necessary input to develop the short and long term plan for our organization.
