The Legacy of Doug Thomas ‘82 Lives On Through Music

Thanks to a generous donation from Diane Thomas in loving memory of her husband, Brother Doug Thomas ’82, the Findlay community is enjoying a special series of musical events celebrating Doug’s life and legacy.

Doug’s passion for community and connection continues to resonate through the Lunchtime Live Inside Series, a program bringing free, family-friendly live music to campus each month. The series officially began on February 10, with several fraternity brothers and friends gathering to honor Doug’s memory, including Darrell Meisner ’85 and his wife, Jim Rossi ’87, David Hinds ’84, Mike Lenox ’81, and Tim Hilborn ’81. Their presence reflected the enduring bonds of brotherhood and friendship that Doug valued so deeply.

Held in Armes Hall at the Marathon Center for the Performing Arts (MCPA), the concerts take place on the second Tuesday of each month from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Guests are invited to bring their lunch and enjoy an uplifting afternoon of music performed by talented local artists.

Remaining 2026 Performances:

  • March 10 (MCPA Lounge): Cat Dailey

  • April 14Classic Mellow Rock Show

  • May 12Bliss

These gatherings are more than concerts—they are a celebration of community, fellowship, and the lasting impact of a life well lived.

We encourage alumni, friends, and community members to join us for one of the remaining events as we continue to honor Doug’s memory and thank Diane for making this meaningful series possible.
